Our Mission:
PWGD UK Advocacy Services provides free, independent, and confidential support for those affected by the Windrush scandal. We offer advocacy surgeries to assist individuals who need independent advocacy and emotional support following the Windrush/Commonwealth Scandal.
Our Services:
- Citizenship, Compensation, and Human Rights: We help secure citizenship, compensation, and human rights for those affected. We advocate for law reform of the Immigration Act 1981 and birth rights and citizenship with a proposed ‘Windrush Act,’ aiming to build a better future for the Windrush, EU, and Commonwealth generations and their descendants.
- Support for Affected Individuals: We assist anyone unfairly impacted by the government's immigration policy, including victims of the ‘Windrush Scandal,’ the ‘Hostile Environment,’ and post-Brexit EU migrants.
- Guidance and Assistance: We answer questions about human rights, birth rights, and compensation claims. Our research shows that many people are fearful of coming forward, delaying the rectification of their status or applying for citizenship. We provide the necessary support to overcome these fears.
- Educational Services, Consultancy, and Event Planning: We offer educational services, consultancy, and event planning to support individuals, communities, businesses, and organizations with their unique needs.
How We Help:
- True Support: We believe in providing both physical and emotional support. PWGD UK will be with you at every step of your journey to a stress-free future. Our advocacy service ensures you are not alone during difficult appointments.
- Holistic and Cultural Approach: We adopt a holistic and cultural approach to support, ensuring that our services are inclusive and considerate of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Relatable Advocacy: As victims ourselves, we relate in ways the authorities cannot. We help maximize your compensation claims and guide you through the process.
- Extensive Network: With our extensive network, we can refer you to solicitors and individuals who can assist with the intricacies of your case.
